From people driving them it's been anything but smooth. A lot of software and brake issues throughout testing and into service, for a time the use of the direct air brake and the tempomat was banned, they seem to be settling down now though. Certainly not Siemens' best work of recent years.

AT300 is designed to and has run at (and beyond) 140mph, streamlining of components and sliding pocket doors aren't an issue at the speed required and the bogies haven't given any problems? Mk4s were hated for their ride quality when introduced and personally I don't find them overly special...
158885 had the ZF transmission removed quite a while ago now. It was very unreliable compared to the Voith. It was still hydraulic aswell rather than mechanical. The SWR aircon seems to work most of the time, but I think they were replacements anyway.
