Well I I have a claim in, so I will find out soon and let you know.

Delay repay with 1st class supplement

Yes, I did wonder about this as well, i.e. purchasing the supplement after the known delay, therefore knowing it would be refunded. But if you can only buy on board, and no opportunity to before hand, which you would have done purchased regardless of the delay, then it seems you have lost out.

    Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire

Yes, it provides an alternative way to get to Houghton/Riley Green for the walk across the railway to the River Darwen at Houghton Bottoms. We must try it when it isn't too hot.

How long are bus stop shelters meant to last

Any guesses when the original bus shelter was erected? I think it is made of concrete slabs, but I could be completely wrong...

    Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire

From the Stagecoach Merseyside Cheshire and South Lancashire Thread I notice yet another Preston to Chorley route has begun recently. The 124 - Chorley - Whittle-le-Woods, Brindle, Houghton, Bamber Bridge and Preston...

    Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire

Based on some advice on the Stagecoach Merseyside Cheshire and South Lancashire thread Anyone know how the recent incursion of Preston Bus into Bamber Bridge is going? On the few occasions I see a Preston Bus out there, there is hardly anyone on them, mainly because it is behind a stagecoach...

Stagecoach Merseyside Cheshire and South Lancashire

Perhaps we need a separate thread for Lancashire Busses? We could discus Stagecoach, Transdev, Preston Bus and Lancashire Subsidised services. Ideal for Preston and Chorley (all those different routes between the two and a new 124 which has been running for a few months. We could also...

    BusTimes.Org

I would absolutely agree with those comments regarding bustimes.org website. An invaluable resource, especially when busses are less frequent and held up in traffic/delayed or not running. I appreciate running but not tracking is a separate issue. Not having to go early or hang around bus...

    First class lounges for all

Yes, going to the south coast, so I could go Avanti to Crewe or Stafford. It isn't Cross Country only or an advance ticket with a fixed train.

    First class lounges for all

I also have a 1st class Anytime Single from Manchester Piccadilly, but my intention is to catch a Cross County train rather than an Avanti train. Does this prohibit me from using the Avanti 1st class lounge?

    Special Offers Discussion

I presume you mean Tickets rather than vouchers? The vouchers are in the newspapers. You can purchase the tickets in advance, not just the day of travel. I have done so in the past.

    England - Zurich

If you are OK with an overnight, last year we went from Preston to London, Eurostar to Amsterdam (late afternoon early evening in Amsterdam) sleeper train (NightJet) to Zurich. We then went over the Alps to Milan and Bologna. You could join the overnight train in Germany, but direct to...
