If I were you I’d consider holding out and applying for a job in Cornwall, what you want will come up eventually. Sounds to me like being away from the family and staying in digs isn’t worth it. Just my opinion

Everyone has their gripes, but gwr pays well and I feel valued. Obviously the work wildly varies on depot so that would depend on where you ended up.

Hey, yes it is the same for all courses, as Taff said, between rules and traction, although if it’s urgent you could potentially change this for front end turns, trainer dependant.

Don’t worry about your dyslexia, so long as you let us know then no problems. I have trained a few people over the years who have dyslexia, we can work around it

It usually depends on the severity and whether network rail get involved and want to do their own investigation. Once all investigations are complete and appropriate retraining given, driver is allowed back. Could be 1 month or 6+, varies massively
