Is there a rough date for the winner of the bid to make the new trains for SE? Have they announced the classes like Northern did? I assume Northern are in a similar situation with their announcement?
172 are only 15/16 years old, they aren't being replaced (if they were, what with?). WMR are struggling with their diesels ATM with shortforms and an addition 172 diagram on the Herefords so a 196 can run the camp hills.

I read on southeastern website that they are going to retrofit a toilet on the 707s. The press release was released in January 2025, have they started the retrofitting?
