Interestingly the photo released today of the Adessia UK show a conventional, non-articulated design (24m?) despite the doors suggesting some kind of low floor layout. Previous renders suggested an articulated design like the new Irish units.

Previous plans to electrify to Oxford are ancient history sadly, it's been effectively dead for many years and unless someone knows differently that's how it remains.

They have, on many occasions! It's too early to say if they are a success, but they're hardly a failure because the wires weren't ready (Cardiff Bay still isn't!) and the 756s were prioritised.
