The wooden pegs have advanced a bit further North. From my observations yesterday (DBY-STP), they are now up to around milepost 127, although I couldn't see anything around Derby station or Etches Park.
Took a return trip from Derby to St Pancras on Friday. Coming back I could see the wooden pegs stretching northwards until somewhere between Sawley Level Crossing and Spondon, so up to about Milepost 122.
My observations form a return trip yesterday:
Wigston Jn - Market Harborough: Evidence of recent lineside de-vegetation. Of course, this may be nothing to do with electrification and just routine work.
Market Harborough - Glendon Jn: Masts up for most of this section, apart from maybe 3 gaps...
Do we know when passenger trains will be using the wires west of Bristol Parkway?
I'm going on a journey next week which includes Bristol Parkway to Cardiff so would be good to know what to watch out for!
View of Derby north today:
Trackwork seems to be mostly complete. They were fitting a guard rail on the line to Chad sidings, the down main (?) still needs its guard rail fitting.
There have been a few tampers around the north end of the station over the last week, and the Orange Army!
