Network Railcard

Sorry if this sounds a bit dumb, but i got a network rail card today i saw the guy put blank rail card thru ticket machine when it was handed back to me, i noticed my name printed on railcard also i'm sure i didnt see him type my name on his keyboard? how else would he have got my name...
