Yes I have heard of first impressions. Have you ever heard of not judging a book by its cover? I am aware that peoples impressions of me were going to be bad considering what I was saying. But I wasn't coming here to ask for forgiveness - just advice.

You're right, I did underestimate the seriousness and will not do so again. If I stole a £27 pound bottle of whisky from a shop (if it was my first time) I would expect a warning, paying for or replacing ther goods and something like hours community service.
