I have noticed this month that some of my former train travelling buddies have given up on their annual train season ticket and have started to use the EX2 AND X38. According to 1 she hopes to stick with the buses for a month to see if it is a worthwhile service. If so, she recons to save a...
I wonder if Lothian are trying to get the EX2 to fail because of their stupid pricing structure. On a Thursday night I usually meet an old friend on the homebound EX2 who has been using the EX2 since it started. I texted him tonight to find out why he was not on the bus. He explained that the...
Doesn't make it easy for people like me whose return journey is after the last EX2 bus. A single in on the EX2 and a single back on the X38 is still poor value against the train.
LC have made a big splash about their M Ticket bundles which appear to offer great value, but can anyone explain to me why they are not valid on the EX2 buses? What is the point of introducing a decent fare system that has exclusions.
Seems like Lothian got their act together this time for the new timetable. They had a stall last week at Linlithgow Cross giving out timetables and they also left some at the Tesco and Sainbury stores. Makes a change from when the EX2 was launched as nobody knew anything about it. My journey...
Now the the Linlithgow L1 town service has reduced its hours it would make sense if the EX2 had a fare for within Linlithgow only. Only the silver haired brigade use it within Linlithgow as they have their pass. No one else uses it as £5 minimum fair is a bit steep.
Does anyone know the reason why the new X38 is to terminate in Linlithgow Bridge. I would think there must be a market for an express bus between Linlithgow and Falkirk at certain times of the day. When I travel that way mid morning there are still a few commuters on there way to work.
Got off at Haymarket. Driver was in no hurry. Still at least 20 mins late but if I was being honest more like 30 mins late. But I will blame the additional 10 mins on the bad traffic. Makes you wonder if the train would have been a better option that night.
I'll give you a reason why a particular bus was late last night. I was waiting for an EX2 bus last night that should have arrived at my stop at 5pm give or take a minute either way. It arrived at 5.10pm. After the 3 passengers got on you would have thought the driver would move off keen to...
Passenger numbers on the EX2. Last week I used the bus 4 mornings between 9.30 and 10.30. The least amount of passengers was 9. The morning I used the 9.30 bus I counted a total of 21 people had used it for some part of the journey. The return journeys are always quieter. Using the bus on...
Update on the EX1 and EX2. Apparently the drivers and the powers that be are concerned about the amount of time it can take to get from Haymarket to The Exchange. The constant roadworks and poor traffic light timing means the buses are nearly always arriving at The Exchange late. It has been...
To right. People should have the right information before they are allowed to vote. Which is why David Cameron had a leaflet sent to every voter in the UK saying why people should vote to remain. Of Course there were no "lies" in that leaflet.
