Fire at Network Rail depot - Slough (12/08/26)

Presumably you mean the Slough & Windsor Railway Society, it's the old railway canteen/club. That's a distance away on the other side of the bridge and unaffected I believe. The fire was by the junction of the Windsor branch where the old steam shed and turntable were. There's no heritage stock...

What are those train shakers at London Euston for?

I recall these strips on the turnback siding at Wembley Stadium, unfortunately the buffer stop got demolished by an errant train a while back.

    GWR Class 165/166 Turbo Diagrams

The air cooling and wi-fi seem to be faulty on 216. Someone had been along with the window key while I was in Henley. Also it was not keeping time, we only just caught the 13:18 at Twyford.

    Trouble with Screenwash Nozzles

Anybody have experience with blocked screenwash nozzles? I've got a seven year old Kia, which is getting blocked nozzles every year. I think the culprit is dust and tree pollen getting in. I've sprayed WD-40 and glass cleaner down with limited effect. I've given up screenwash in the water as...

What’s the furthest a member of staff can be overcarried one stop?

Taunton is trumped by Exeter St Davids from Reading (a Penzance service). I've noticed assistance staff on plat 7 making sure the dispatchers have seen them getting on.

The question may be a bit obscure so I will award the next to @Gloster for being the nearest. It is the village of Jordans in Bucks. As in Seer Green & Jordans.
