You can obtain bike reservations for GWR from your local station in advance even if you didn’t buy your ticket from them.
If I’m taking my bike into work, I get the reservations on my way back home on the day (or a few days) before. Could be an option if you still wanted to get the split...
When I was there in September last year, there was a bus driving from the car park side to the bay platform side for people who couldn’t use the bridge. Perhaps that is still in operation?
Just a thought, but I think the network providers are likely to be doing decent deals on new ones. Often can be paid for monthly. Might not be the best for your situation, but if you’ve been with your network for a while you might get a good deal given the current climate?
