I would if possible combine the Newcastle-Edinburgh and Liverpool-Newcastle routes back together and in the hours Avanti go to Blackpool with a rewrite of the northern WCML obviously fill that gap with the Liverpool-Glasgow route so there's a consistent 2x per hour from Preston to Glasgow
Is there a way of switching things round a bit from what we have now
E.g
Main routes
1tph Cardiff to Edinburgh via Leeds (2 hourly Glasgow) Dundee and Aberdeen once or twice a day.
1tph Plymouth to Manchester or Liverpool
1tph Bristol to Nottingham
1tph Bournemouth to Manchester or Liverpool...
Local networks at both Glasgow and Liverpool to work around which isn't helpful.
I remember when they first started there was 3 each way between the two and the lunchtime train heading south went via lea Green instead or st Helens
1204 Glasgow Liverpool had about 15 minute wait at Preston. 3h42 end to end.

i agree hyndland with everything going to from yoker/singer/milngavie its recipe for delays an unreliable service. not the first time ive sat at jordanhill waiting for a train going to anniesland to pass.
don't know how they would fix that without mass demolition in the area though
When the pubs at some time in the future are able to reopen I definitely won't be drinking in a Wetherspoons pub again.
