Ilkley really went to town in removing all traces of the course of this route, which is understandable as the route divided the town centre to some extent. Embankments and bridges were removed and in Yewbank Terrace where it passed between the terraces the gap was filled with suitable terrace...
Garforth has an excellent Italian restaurant,. It was very strange to eat in a room which was 50 years before, the somewhat dusty parcels storage room.

We are geographically small, population dense Country. Suited to Passenger traffic more than freight. USA is the opposite and has much higher freight percentage.

At Knaresborough the subway near the level crossing which acts as the link between the platforms is divided by Victorian looking railings down the centre as it also acts as a public through route from Kirkgate to Water Bag Bank.
