I wouldnt worry too much, when i applied i was outside of an hour (1hr 10m) but they didnt mind. Where i am currently its 57m and about 30m by train, But since my partners jobs about to change were hopefully moving a lot closer.

I applied september 2017. I had my assesments about jan 2018, DMI may 2018 and finally offered a job as trainee driver nov 2019 and started jan 2020. I was also a bus driver so would be awesome to get another former busman in, good luck!

The course im on now has people from so many different backgrounds. Window Fitters,HGV drivers,Bus Drivers, Locksmiths etc etc
