I'm on hold for Cardiff. I agree, in my opinion ATW have done a grand job, with increased passenger numbers, the adopt a station initiative and the latest free WiFi enterprise, to name a few. People are cleverly being encouraged to take the train and it's working.

Yes, the recruitment team said they aren't putting on any new driver courses until next year, due to not knowing which way the franchise will go, so they're restricted to advertising for qualified drivers only.

Yes, I'm assuming recruitment will slow down for all posts until the new franchise has been secured. Next year will see a surge in requirement for new staff. So it's a case of just waiting out for now and it will pick up again in 2018 :wink:

I'm sure they'll tell us what format the interview will take, when they contact prior to it. If not, I'm sure they'd expect us to ask them.

That’s a very glum view you have, which contradicts what the recruitment team have told me and what I have read on the subject. There will be new trams and more trains, which will surely mean there’ll be a need for more guards, train drivers and tram drivers but we’ll see eventually I guess...
