    Line Regeneration: Which sections of lines would you restore to their pre-Beeching condition

    Weymouth harbour tramway (restored as a tourist attraction) Fareham to Gosport (Gosport's road links are crap and are jammed constantly.) It would benefit from a Gosport to Portsmouth harbour shuttle style service.

    How long can a train be before it's too long?

    DB Schenker car trains run down to Southampton quite regularly with 50 containers, each about as long as a passenger saloon.
