I had mine checked for the first time just last week (I've had one for a year and a half by now). This is probably lucky given that one or two times ive got to a station and the ticket hasnt loaded properly. Apart from that it seems OK, but lacking in any real advantage save saving trees.
RENFE, the Spanish nationalised operator, offers 'm' advance tickets for less.
Surely that's because the TPE trains are busy already? So there is no point trying to compete with bus or coach.
Surely also a good example of how the franchise system fails, too. There's is no competition at Huddersfield, so passengers pay more for less, subsidising Leeds passengers. Nor could proper competition ostensibly be introduced, since the line is so busy.
