RAIL 859 Pg 29 reports testing is on WCML and the Great Eastern ML not the ECML

I had mine checked for the first time just last week (I've had one for a year and a half by now). This is probably lucky given that one or two times ive got to a station and the ticket hasnt loaded properly. Apart from that it seems OK, but lacking in any real advantage save saving trees.

RENFE, the Spanish nationalised operator, offers 'm' advance tickets for less. Surely that's because the TPE trains are busy already? So there is no point trying to compete with bus or coach.

Surely also a good example of how the franchise system fails, too. There's is no competition at Huddersfield, so passengers pay more for less, subsidising Leeds passengers. Nor could proper competition ostensibly be introduced, since the line is so busy.

Perhaps related to this thread, the coming may will see the creation of a new greenline service, Reading- buses operated 703 Bracknell - Heathrow Airport. This will effectively replace lost service from a truncated 702, which now runs Windsor - London Victoria, with the exception of a few...
