My first interview with Northern was with a DTM and a Train Guard Manager (I think this was roughly her job title). It was an example-based interview.

I live in Liverpool so yes I'm just under an hour away by car. I also said I'd be relocating should I be offered the position. Hopefully the feedback will help me out for future applications. I received an email back saying that I should receive some feedback within 10 working days.

I got that same email as well, saying that my application is to be considered for shortlisting. As for whether they consider the strength of your application at this stage I doubt that's the case, as surely they get so many applications in they can't have had time to do so. Could be wrong...
