7th March this year for a 150, the last time 153s (as a pair) appeared was 11th June 2023 - the last time a single 153 worked was February 2023.
No guarantee that either unit will ever appear again and I'm reasonably surprised that 150s have made recent appearances at all
There was a comment I read not too long ago that 158714 covered this route as part of the aforementioned 'camera mounted' tours of the network. It was from this that the route was deemed inappropriate. Is there any further information, or even some credence to this? Not another mention has been...
Unsure if it's still there, but there was a First North Western sign up by Holyhead station warning you of CCTV surveillance. It was visible from the road adjacent to the sidings. First/North Western Trains signage must have been rare to begin with, they only operated across for the coast for...
Comparatively recent, but there's First North Western signage denoting the CCTV system at Holyhead - https://flic.kr/p/2ioyUtC. This is actually rarer than any BR/Regional Railways remnant in North Wales because the FNW era was fairly swift, all of 3-4 years, and there can't have been too much...
Regional Railways - 15311/326 in Spring/Summer 2008: repaint into EMT livery (still carried to this day)
Network Southeast - Networker in September 2007: repaint into South Eastern Trains livery
Intercity on HST power cars - 43029 in 2001: repaint into the new First Great Western 'barbie'...
31427 lasted until 1999 in originally applied Br Blue, this fantastic photo could be early 1970's. Probably the last 'true' mainline diesel carrying a pre-sector livery applied contemporaneously, discounting the heritage repaints and even cases like 56004 which was clearly the result of a...
Which 158s still retain Arriva livery as of 14/03? The list hasn't been updated since December. I spotted 158835 on the N Wales coast yesterday, and a cursory search only reveals maybe two other examples, 158820 and maybe 158831.
