Terminal 1 is a mess, how they have tried to split arriving and departing passengers. The old pier is ridiculous, how must it look to anyone arriving from Dubai on a big A380, you get off and you have to walk the full length of a crumbling pier.

You mean just like any other significant airport in England then?

Does the new T2 have any A380-capable airbridges? That pier at T1 isnt long for this world by all accounts....will they just stop sending A380s to MAN when that happens?

Sooner they bulldoze T1 the better, both piers are a disgrace given how they have had to seperate out incoming and outgoing passengers.

Air France defo use it, as do Qatar and Virgin. Will be a list on their website I guess.

Went through Arrivals last night. A long walk from the new gate A6 but once there the new arrivals section is night and day compared to T1, T3 and the old T2. Its absolutely massive, sailed through. 9 belts also in operation with another three being built.

Never had any issue with Stansted. Its just the whole throwing money at a new terminal, not having everything open, and then keeping the same 25 year old bit of the terminal untouched when the place had been shut for a good year

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were about it. I used it myself on Saturday afternoon for a 4pm flight and to say I was underwhelmed was an understatement. The new bit has essentially been bolted next to the old bit so the new check in area is next to the old one, and of course barely any...

Correct. A mother isnt afforded any protection under the DDA. People trying to claim that her having a sprained arm (or similar) means she has a disability is desperate at best.

In which case maybe the Guard should have gone down the train with her and found her another space, unless all the disabled space on a reasonably long train were filled at 11am on a Sunday morning. The transport companies arent going to win with this. There was that guy who successfully sued...

So working on the assumption that maybe the scooter wasnt allowed on the train, a) this isnt mentioned as being mentioned by the guard as a reason to move, and b) assuming the description of events is accurate, does that excuse his actions?

So now you have moved onto the argument that she shouldn't have been on the train in the first place?
