Yeah I don't understand that either, why build hopes up saying you're shortlisted then provide a generic response saying make sure your responses are above the crowd even though you were shortlisted...
It's nothing to worry about honestly. It's things like eyesight, previous/current heart conditions, and medication you're taking that I believe flag up as a major issue but, having had no issue myself, I do think there's solutions or workarounds.
Local economy. Blackpool is very poor, lower wages due to cheaper cost of living (rent/housing).

Same. I also completed the Cross Country Trains RAAT online email test, but that was almost a month ago now and still nothing from them either.
Just one other thing, I've done plenty of SCAAT/RAAT tests with a load of tramway operators, are there any differences between the two? Metrolink's LRT assessment included the gauge test too. I've noticed also that Northern interview before doing the assessment, is that right?
Specific to TOC most likely, but usually industry standard it's if you fail the psychometrics at any TOC you have to wait 6mths before you can apply again I believe.
That's all I know about it. But would be interesting to know if I end up having 1 at XC and 1 at Northern, what would happen if I...
Well I gave it a try and judging by someone in a different thread, they had gotten a call from Metrolink to say they've got the role. Unfortunately, I didn't get it so I can only assume I've been rejected based on the points and whatever other reasons. Gave it a go eitherway! Definitely a pat on...
I also went for a job in Nottingham recently to drive trams, given Comms to say I was OK with 6pts (eligible for the role still and within their minimum requirements) to attend for the interview and assessments, only to be rejected next day because I have 6pts.
I appreciate the initial response on the thread. But your further input doesn't really help, and I can only apologise for not being perfect and making a mistake.
Judging by your response I really do hope, however old you are, that you've never had a point in your life and mistakes made have...
My motoring offence was for having no car insurance. I'm sure one mistake like this, in my view, having driven for over 8 years isn't really appropriate to having 4/5yrs of my career being taken away from me. I understand the severity of it, I'm embarrassed that a simple mistake has led to this...
Yeah most likely the offer pull. I haven't had anything yet as I believe there's one last assessment next week.
I'll email their recruitment team Monday. I emailed Edinburgh's explaining the situation and told them it was purely because of having no insurance, they still withdrew my offer with...
