The huge influx of new Alexander Dennis DDs in 2016/7 was essentially to use them on rail replacement work while the Preston to Blackpool line was being electrified; when the electrification was complete the buses were to be cascaded to Blackpool's local services, that was the idea.

That's on a par with saying that if an operator has more than one depot it would be almost impossible to have a separate roster for each depot.

When I worked for Laycock's of Barnoldswick (1970/1) we ran a journey on hire to Ribble, I think it was 0645 Barnoldswick Fosters Arms to County Brook Mill. This was a timetabled journey on Ribble's 294 (I think) service, but in the timetable there was no suggestion it was operated by anyone...

It seems to be a blip, the reference to 13176 having operated a journey on the 118. 11871 is also shown as having operated the same journey, and it's 11871 which has actually tracked.

The only thing you've got wrong, it hasn't actually started yet. The start date is given as 26 October - but that's a Sunday, and there's no Sunday service! So the effective start date is Monday 27 October.
