    Stagecoach Group (Group-wide matters)

Not originally. Brian Souter bought ADL because of Stagecoach's Alexander fleet, so it was the other way round!

    Stagecoach Group (Group-wide matters)

I have been wondering, what is current Stagecoach policy regarding new vehicles? At one time, they were loyal to Alexander/ADL, but they seem to have favoured imports lately, their ScotZEB3 order being all Yutong. Is their relationship with ADL over?

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

Well, that's one way to electrify your fleet; hand over the low bridge route to another operator. I hope that, when the time comes for Greenslades to electrify, either Tan Lane will be remodelled for better clearance, or we will have lower height electrics, preferably both!

Wasn't BR's original passenger locomotive green based on GWR green?

The next batch for Exeter will be 10 double deckers, which haven't arrived yet. Exeter probably won't be able to take any more electric buses until the chargers are connected to the grid, as the current generator can only charge one bus at a time. Apparently, this information comes from an...

Heatwave 22-27 June - effect on the UK Railway

The wartime poster was 'Is your journey really nessesary?' Was it less of an issue in steam days, when the crew had to do constant engineering on the go? Also, is it more common for drivers to make multiple trips on shorter lines?

When was that? And where did the rare earth metals come from in the days of steam?

I also suspect that it would have been better to start with double deckers. One problem, I believe is that the original ZEBRA 2 bid included the Green Park And Ride service (now the C). This passed under a bridge of 10' 6" (3.2m) clearance, the height of the Volvos, until the last resurfacing...

The older regional fleet? I thought it was the IETs that had engine cooling problems.

    Is it heading to Exmouth?
