When I visited a few weeks ago, the service was nominally every 1 hour and 20 minutes due to staff shortages, which seems to have occurred more frequently of late.
The current timetable is referred to as a 40-minute interval service. That is not correct, because although there are three trains every two hours, the intervals are 37, 44 & 39 minutes. Southern Vectis generally timetable a bus from Ryde to Brading, Sandown, Lake and Shanklin every 15 minutes...
The driver announces in a standard format the next station as the train is slowing down, thus, "Eindhoven station, Eindhoven". It works well, giving relevant information succinctly.

The lorry appears to reverse across the level crossing much faster than normal walking pace, perhaps 8mph, so a pedestrian who starts to walk across the crossing just after the barrier closing sequence is initiated risks being hit on the head as the barrier on the far side of the crossing comes...
