I often have to make new journeys due to my job - Reading, Leicester, Birmingham, Wales, Scotland, Southport are just some of the places I have travelled to alone. Yes, I was completely confident and not daunted in the slightest - I find those journeys the most enjoyable.

I think the whole "Getting rid of guards on the train" situation is ridiculous. We need them to stay. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Exactly. I work 2 jobs, and have 3 children. Just because my eyes are b*ggered doesn't mean that I should stay at home and do nothing. :-)
