So I went for my PCV practical bus driving test today and I didn't make the cut. I wasn't even ready for the test but I did my best but it wasn't good enough. Rotala (Preston Bus) said to me were terminating your contract I am a bit gutted by this. How can bus companies get away with this? One...
So about 6-8 months ago I applied to be a Trainee Bus Driver with Rotala and it's a very long process. At the moment I am training to be a Bus Driver and I am just wondering as to whether I can actually make it. The practical bus test is next Thursday buts it already been a week and I'm still...
I have seen adverts for a Railway Signaller near Bootle for Network Rail, my question is do you have to pass numeracy and literacy tests as my maths skills are very weak. The advert states that due to the sheer volume of applicants a initial assessment will have to be taken? Has anyone applied...
Just as we speak, I am making my application for the role in Blackpool and Manchester. Byt the way best of luck to everyone who applies for this job? Is it true that vacancies for trainee train driver attract up to 500 applications or more?
Good luck everyone.

I struggle with numerical tests/testing, I always fail at them though I am not too worried about the verbal comprehension test. The Virgin Trains application itself was quite a tough obstacle, but I passed it, now I have to contend with more tougher obstacles.
Do you have to pass both of these...
Cracking, I just checked my email and have recieved an email from Virgin Trains to attend a selection event next Tuesday. My question is what can I expect and how long does the selection test last? Is it a whole day, from 9 - 5 ?
I applied for a job recently as a Casual Customer Service Assistant/Onboard at Virgin Trains but my online application still says open. The lack of jobs out there and applying for a few vacancies is annoying and frustrating.
The position was On-board/Virgin Trains/Customer Service Assistant based in Preston, Lancashire. Good luck to you, seems very competitive and I am just going to keep on trying. Eventually Virgin Trains will have to say yes :D lol
I recently applied for Customer Service/Onboard for Virgin Trains. I worked hard to complete the application and submit it. If I remember correctly I submitted the application 2 weeks before the closing date. To note, I have just recently recieved an email from Virgin Trains:
Thank you for...
