    'The Duke' re-opens M&C line, CVR

    I stood on the same bridge on Sunday when the 8F was the train engine with the Duke banking. You can buy tickets on the day, I think the first train on the first day was sold out in advance.

    To me the obvious reply is the SVR but that's where you were! The Railwaymans Arms on Bridgnorth Station is also good especially the Bathams bitter. You could always try the Black Lion at Consall on the Churnet Valley

    Stafford/Norton Bridge

    Went to a presentation by Network Rail about Norton Bridge. There is no doubt that something needs to be done. It is common to see trains at slow speed at Norton Bridge on all lines.
