Highbury & Islington - not a National Rail station?

The Hanover Square Bond Street EL machines don't sell NR tickets. There's even a sign saying it.

    GTR Summer Holiday Cancellations

I note that two of the peak services via Forest Hill to and from London Bridge have been kept. 0803 from Norwood Junction to London Bridge (3tph between Sydenham and London Bridge from 0800-0900). 1810 from London Bridge to Sutton.

    NR TVMs with Oyster capability

According to Wikipedia, Drayton Green doesn't have a TVM.

    NR TVMs with Oyster capability

The GWR managed stations on the Greenford brance should have Oyster TVMs.

    NR TVMs with Oyster capability

It depends on the type of TVM at LO stations. Most have the latest TVMs which integrate the LU interface with the ability to buy NR tickets along with journey history and discounted Oyster products, yet there are still some older TVMs which only allow basic top-ups, travelcards or a 7 day bus...

    NR TVMs with Oyster capability

West Drayton is in Zone 6, so will have Oyster TVMs. C2C and South Western Railway within the Oyster area. Lets not forget the LU managed Network Rail stations also have Oyster TVMs which are largely the same model used on the Elizabeth line and most LO stations. The Greater Anglia TVMs at...

    December 2026 Timetable Change

I'm disappointed that it's only peak only but I see they'll slot in between the existing Crystal Palace and West Croydon services giving some relief to the already busy West Croydon's which are packed by the time they get to Forest Hill.

Travel advice to/from London St Pancras - 19/06/26 to 28/06/26

Due to the Three Bridges to Bedford services being cancelled, Norwood Junction loses their Thameslink services, but still has 2tph Southern fasts to London Bridge. Luton to Rainham cut to a shuttle service between Dartford and Rainham.

    LU/Elizabeth Line 4G update

So that'll be Vodafone as they piggy back on them.

    GTR Summer Holiday Cancellations

Those peak Southern Norwood Junction to London Bridge and back to Sutton in the evening are an easy cut as they can cram those passengers on Windrush line services.

More economical ways of offering rail replacement services

It's worth noting that since Transport UK London replaced Go-Ahead on the Southern RRBs in South London, I've noticed a lot more sub-contracted operators running those New Cross Gate to Crystal Palace services.

More economical ways of offering rail replacement services

Southern have already done this with the replacement of the New Cross Gate to West Croydon RRBs by cutting them to Crystal Palace and having ticket validity on Route 157 which serves the remaining stations except Penge West where passengers can use routes 176 and 197 instead from Sydenham...

East London Line when it was a tube line.

I remember using it in the mid 2000s and at that time I think it was 5tph to New Cross and 4tph to New Cross Gate giving 9tph between Whitechapel and Surrey Quays. The New Cross branch since being part of the Overground has dropped to 4tph with 8tph (10tph from Dec) to New Cross Gate. When I...
