That's the whole point of route knowledge, you know not to take a wrong route if it's given by the signaler. If you do make that mistake then it's a whole world of trouble

This exactly mirrors my own experience, I had a medical and got a nasty shock ref my own BP and was referred back to my GP for further investigation. After more consultations, testing and medication a letter was provided by my Doctor to the occupational health team which satisfied them.

Doesn't your joining instruction letter act as your rail ticket, I know for sure this is the case with other TOCs. Got to be worth a quick phone call to ask if this is the case.

You have got the wrong end of the stick Sam Slade, I am talking about the help once in the job. Information about getting the job is just that information, the person still has to perform during interview, assessment and pass a medical. There are many things that can trip you up in this process...

Agreed, there is defo no such thing as too much help. That's what I love about being a driver, there is always someone willing to offer help and advice.
