I need glasses for distance vision, and have recently started as a trainee driver. I've noticed a lot of glare from signals when driving at night, worse than with traffic lights on the road. It's not unbearable or a safety issue, just sometimes a bit annoying.

That route is scenic enough, but that far north the Pennines have mostly petered out. I think a better one in that region for dramatic scenery would be the Settle to Carlisle line, which cuts directly through the mountain range.
