It was a nice surprise last time but never mind! Most employers don’t pay interview travel expenses. Does anybody know if they also have conductors at Plymouth? And can conductors move location to say, Bristol in future or do they have to apply to external recruitment like everybody else like...

Has anybody else not received a GWR travel pass to this assessment? I did for the previous assessment day.

Thanks tiptoptaff, I wasn’t aware that was how it worked. I’ve passed the first assessment centre (the tests). This is the group tests and hopefully the interview if I get through to that! Is there a 6 month wait if I’m unsuccessful?

I’ve applied for customer host but I also have an assessment for conductor next week, no further info on the customer host role though.

I’ll keep my eye on the job site then in case any retail service managers get the TM job and they advertise for RSM!

I got the no thanks email today. Funny that I’m through to the final stage with GWR though!

Assessment centre booked! It’s for conductor but I got an email saying I passed the TM first stage assessment as I passed the conductor one. Do I have to do separate final assessment centres for each role? Or can I only be considered for one role?

Sorry to hear you didn’t get through. Much to my surprise I did, just waiting to see if I’m shortlisted for interview now!

I thought she said 5 years? :) But either way, that’s handy. I guess they shortlist on the application form? Oh well, I shall find out by Monday evening apparently!

Well done - had mine today, lady from recruitment was lovely and I did enjoy the tests but not sure if my maths held up - the only bit I struggled on under pressure - wonder what the pass mark is?

I have my assessment centre very soon...eek! I would presume they have more than one vacancy or other suitable candidates would be in a holding pool?
