Can you use the return portion of a day return ticket if you do not use the first outward journey ticket?

You aren't exactly helping yourself with your constant evasion of the core questions identified quite early on by experienced forum members. If you want help then you need to tell people exactly what your circumstances are and answer any queries people have which are crucial to your case. I'm...

Zone 1 to SWR at Wimbledon - Contactless Charge Query

For contactless and Oyster fares do not use BRFares, use LTFares instead, which shows the fare only applicable in one direction. Maybe it is an error it only applied in one direction but that is what the fares data says.

    Origin station DRC

I suspect that is the answer. There was a Dorchester Stations group previously (known now publicly as you mentioned) which is what most flows from either station were defined to/from.

Whittlesea station and East Midlands Railway stopping cancellations

RTT will be as accurate as upstream data. Fail to stops have to be keyed into the system manually and may take up to 8 days to reflect in some cases (or even not at all if not correctly entered) in upstream data source. It is also not an official source so you cannot rely on it for definitive...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

I think he probably meant they have all been accepted by the company but that isn't the same as passed for passenger service. I could be wrong mind.

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

For clarity 029 has not been passed for passenger service yet, not that I am aware of anyway. I was kind of hoping it would have been by some miracle when I came back from leave, but unfortunately not quite there yet.

    London Buses Discussion

I know this table was correct to end of March, but are there any 09 reg buses still in TfL services? There are still a bunch of 59 ones congregated around Croydon (Metrobus single-door WVLs on SL7, WVNs on 403, and Arriva DWs on 194) so presumbaly they are the last surviving lot from that year.

SWR Class 458/4s: fleet status and withdrawal updates

March 2027 if I recall although I'm a bit fuzzy on this one. Can be terminated early I think.

Thanks. I know some of the Croydon changes are still waiting to happen but clearly forgot about this one.

    London Buses Discussion

Have I missed it or was there no consultation about the changes to 91/123/232 this weekend? I haven't kept an eye on this thread lately and only realised these were changing after reading a social media post earlier last week.

SWR Class 458/4s: fleet status and withdrawal updates

458/5s have been off lease for a (relatively) long time

SWR Class 458/4s: fleet status and withdrawal updates

Yes 450s are sometimes used as cover too, but their availability isn't great either at the moment so avoided where possible

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Yes the remaining work needs Wimbledon attention.

SWR Class 458/4s: fleet status and withdrawal updates

End of this week I am led to believe, although they are being kept to cover any 701 shortages. The problem you have is as more traincrew gradually lose compentency in them, it will become harder to cover their turns if drafted in, so very soon a line will have to be drawn to take them out...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Very much hot air. Interesting this conversation above is taking place today. As we speak 024 is close to being released for service, with just a couple of components to be replaced before release, and I am of the understanding the first pair of /5s are starting to go through the pre-service...
