Thanks, everyone.
I used the Seat61 site and I'm buying the journey in two segments.
I already bought the London - Brussels - London part and now I'm buying the DB ICE part.
I'm going to go ahead and get the 10:25 train and if things go wrong I'll talk to SNCB staff and hopefully they...
Hi all. I booked a Eurostar ticket to Brussels on a Saturday in July. The train is scheduled to arrive in Brussels as 10:05. I need to connect to Cologne and the next train departs at 10:20.
Is this enough time? Or should I take the 14:25 train from Brussels to Cologne?
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the extensive information. We had to wait for those signals going into platform 2. There was a service pulling into platform 1 parallel to us and it seemed pretty tight in there.
The slow speeds aren't a problem for the rail enthusiast. It's one of the few places you can get a great...
I took the service this morning and was a bit disappointed because there was a 5 minute+ wait at Silwood Junction on the way to Highbury and Islington. On the way back, we had a similar wait on the bridge over Latchmere Rd waiting to enter platform two.
Why are the line speeds so low from...
What train did it pass near the footbridge close to Culvert Road before the lines dive under the SWML?
It didn't look like freight nor the odd Southern service to Clapham High Street from the WLL.
Thanks for the explanation.
I was able to buy the tickets on bahn.de. I didn't see that I had to fill in our ages.
RailEurope.co.uk quoted me £272 for 2 adults and 2 youths (it's the only site I've seen that has the "youth" option).
I was able to buy Europe-Spezial tickets on bahn.de...
Where can I find the cheapest fares for 2 youths (25 years old) and 2 adults from Berlin to Prague? I would prefer the 8:45 train that arrives in Prague at around 13:30, 2nd class.
I've gone to RailEurope.co.uk but I'm wondering if there is a cheaper option.
I also tried bahn.de but when I...
I'll have a free day in Zurich on Sunday, June 3.
I've heard lots of people say there isn't too much to do in the city (which is probably not true at all) and I want to get out and see the country.
Given that I like trains, does anyone know of any interesting day trips to either an...
Thanks for all your replies.
If I look at the Stansted Express main website and select 2 express class return tickets for this Friday, from Tottenham Hale to Stansted, the price is £55.00 (£59 from Liverpool St).
If you go to Ryanair's subsite on the stanstedexpress.com domain, Liverpool St -...
I bought discounted Stansted Express tickets from Liverpool St to Stansted Airport. As I live near Vauxhall, I'd prefer to leave from Tottenham Hale, which wasn't an option on the booking site.
Can I board at Tottenham Hale using a ticket with Liverpool St as the origin?
Thanks for your help!
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere... but a really interesting article on the project's (ridiculous) financial situation on London Reconnections.
Hi all.
Every day I pass Victoria station and I notice the two tracks that branch off the Victoria line SB and NB tracks to the sidings.
I understand that this used to be the line's terminus but that they are still used in certain circumstances.
Does anyone have any pictures of them...
