I still can't see how West Lothian would be attractive to a new buyer (unless Lothian pull out). I could see a new buyer buy West Lothian as a package with other parts of First (say alongside Glasgow, Larbert, Bannockburn and Balfron)...
I was more trying to say that another operator wouldn't be interested in West Lothian as much as there would be more work for a new operator (not Lothian) than if Lothian had never came out to West Lothian. I don't completely understand the competitive incursion point, if First WL (West Lothian)...
Possibly, perhaps this is why Lothian are staying in West Lothian at the moment - the bus war would likely make First's West Lothian operations less interesting to a potential buyer due to them having to immediately compete with LCB rather than having a monopoly such as down in the Falkirk area...
