I have read that Prentice Westwood have incresed their licence at Livingston to 45 vehicles. Are they expanding their hire service or have got more school contracts.

The services west of Livingston are still dire with either 40 or hourly service. Like a Sunday all week. Traffic is now horrendous, used to be 15 or 30 minute frequency. Only decent services are the X18, X27 and X28.

The X17 went through Pumpherston,Uphall and Broxburm to Edinburgh. It replaced the 287 which only went to Broxburn. First 22 then 21/21A also went through Winchburgh before the 600.

Don't see the E19 taking much traffic from the X19. You need to book the E19 and it's not very easy, they won't stop if you just put your hand out. Don't see it lasting long.

yes your right the 43 used to be a West Lothian contract, but it was never a depot run. in the later years it was run out of Livingston, I used to run one of the evening services and only once did I take a passenger to Boness. After South Queensferry it was dead.

It will also bring the service under the Midland Bluebird brand instead of Prentice Westwood

That's true as Prentice Westwood were relocated there after they were bought by Mcgills.

the 33 terminated in Little France at the turning circle before Ferniehill was built. This was as far the Edinburgh Corporation buses could go up Dalkeith Road. The 8 terminated at the turning circle at Gilmerton. The 7 and37 went to Kaimes and the 31 went to the turning circle at Hyvots Bank...

It's strange that bustimes hasn't 1-9e on their list yet. When the BZL's came some were listed for months before they came.

They tried to put in opportunity charging in Edinburgh/Midlothian before for the second batch of Volvo 700H but they could not get planning permission so the idea was dropped.

No buses being tracked on service 60 this week (on their own website) plus loan buses from Mcgills main fleet being used on some services.

How long will it be before Mcgills will be back at the traffic commissioner for not running services at Midland Bluebird? They seem to have bus and driver availability issues.

Are they at Dunbar for good or will they be getting replaced by new short buses?

No bus tracking on the 60 in Edinburgh today. It was the same a few days at the beginning of last week. Are they short of buses or drivers at Livingston or is it a tracking problem. This is on the Midland Bluebird site as bustimes are not tracking anything.
