    Fire at Glasgow Central (08/03/26)

limiting the number of people since its likely the union st and gordon st entrances will be closed a while to allow for demolition

Lanark could run to Motherwell to connect with low level service. I think we would see a limited through service for Avanti plus via Paisley routes to start.

How could the effects of the Glasgow Central closure be mitigated?

Not an expert but when my home was at risk of burning down, the fire services main goal was to prevent the fire spreading to adjoining homes. They basically said if my home catches fire, theres nothing they can really do. So if my experience is any indication, the fire service trains to...

OLE is also a spark risk, which is less than ideal around an already raging fire. Also if the toilets are flooded the Platform 1 OLE isn't that far away if memory serves.

or they think there's still a risk that the fire isn't completely out or re-ignite

Any chance they might consider re-opening a couple of the western platforms, and using the Argyle St and or Hope St entrances while keeping most of the station concourse closed? I guess the first signs of life is probably going to be re-opening the lower level platforms.

There is still The Blue Lagoon under Hielanman's Umbrella by the low level entrance. I wonder if that might be the only way in/out of the station for a while.

Overspeeding at Cambridge Junction (Hitchin) -- 11/12/25

I know route knowledge should mean you know that signal has a feather, but as others have said, it does look like it could be easily missed as station lighting. I can understand missing it. Should also consider if using bars inside of emulating 5 round white lights is also an issue. Could have...

    GTR to be renamed?

Given the new GBR, surely it will be GTR, Great Thameslink Railways

Great British Railways: Station identity and livery unveiling (09/12/25)

That point fails if you review that all the station signage is basically an update of BR signage language from prior to privatization.

Network Southeast figured that out brilliantly (imho) with the route brand. However I suspect Scotrail isn't going to give up easily on their Scottish flag livery

Not a lot you can do with a flag livery, it's either going to look like GBNews or British Airways IMHO
