Fairly certain there are minimal gaps to reliably add crossing moves at Liverpool.
If you can get the Northern and TfW onto platform 10 at Liverpool then you can at least get 4 cars on the TfW. But I doubt that's realistic as between WMT and Avanti they immediately need 6,9 and 10. If only...
It seems all their trains are auto-call so somebody at Network Rail has to waste time cancelling it each day or just leaves it. Surprised they haven't just mandated making them manual call given the lack of runs.
One of the other constraints for this is at the Liverpool end as they are platformed permissively with Northern in either platform 7 which can only take 6-cars total. Given the Northern is 3-car, then the maximum TfW can have in the current timetable is 3-car without some sort of wider timings...
Aside from some of the other points mentioned, they would also need to be 4-car to allow for permissive working at Manchester Airport as the curtailed Northern service would likely need to arrive on the B end.
I don't believe Alderley Edge is a proposed call
Looking at the existing timetable...
Must be a very rare bit of track running via the UDG at Ardwick Jn through to Slade Lane!
Edit: in the opposite direction, 1H63 appears to be trapped at Slade Lane though as there isn't a route on the fast lines. Edit2: seems to have found a way through.
Seems like driver training paths have been added from Crewe to Manchester Airport from next week

I don't think the 0912 Preston service is new, it is removed due to the reduced Sunday timetable. The 0753 Blackpool is also not new but the extension to Manchester Airport is.
Fairly certain those platform workings will change as TPE presumably are 6-car and therefore cannot turn back in platform 3. Nonetheless everything mainly crams in platform 2 or runs via 4 to Piccadilly.
Class 158s are prohibited from platform 2. Can't recall the length but you can't really fit much in platform 1. Without having platform 5 for Northern as flexibility you probably have to mess around with the timetable a lot. Platform 5 itself is only 171m so I think a 807 is overlength. Would be...
