I don't think FSG would tender for ROPAX. I think after that failed attempt to break ROPAX Market, they've bailed on it.
China for a CalMacFlexer Series would make sense. The new NorthLink Vessels will be Chinese.
But FSG got into difficulties building Honfleur for Brittany Ferries & Hull 777 for ICG. I don't think they are prepared to build ROPAX now.
Remontowa, who have the Small Vessels Order, look like the safest bet for CMAL.
I've just started using Train Sim, having downloaded Train Sim 6.
Main reason was wanting ScotRail. So I've purchased Glasgow to Edinburgh, Cathcart Circle & Class 380 Add Ons.
On Class 385, I am able to make On Board announcements. Is this possible on the 380? And, if so, how?

Pentland Ferries Crew Alfred. She must have a Live On Board Crew. Pentalina certainly has Crew Accommodation.
It would be possible to have a Common Fleet of Alfreds. However, the fact she fits only Two Routes, I'm not sure it'd be a great investment.
CalMac Ferries on the whole made a Profit in 2024.
There will be profitable/breakeven Routes, but those will allow CalMac to reduce subsidy needed to Operate the loss making Sailings/Routes.
Profitable or not, every one of their Routes is a lifeline. Splitting would make zero sense.
All of them, including Gourock to Dunoon. Only the Vehicle Ferry element was operated commercially.
Northlink Ferries and Rathlin Island Ferry are both Subsidised.
