Thanks a lot mate. I appreciate it.
It did take 4-5 long emails to get them to see my point. They refused to budge at first. But I tried to be articulate and very importantly used the points repeatedly made by 'via bank' on this forum. I really appreciated his support.
To be fair to GTR...
Hi all,
This is a msg I received from their customer services department today. On receipt of the vouchers, I will consider this matter closed.
Hi
I understand that you paid £60.20 through our prosecutions team
I would be happy to offer you the difference between the fare you and your wife...
:D
No I don't fly with rubbish airlines. Ryanair, if I may, are the GTR of the aviation industry.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Yes, but nobody flies internationally from Redhill, The Windsor stations and all mentioned. Gatwick is as equally known as Heathrow and the...
Again, you misunderstand.
Geographically, I know and understand that Gatwick is a part of Sussex. But I, along with all who get similar penalties, are led to believe that Gatwick is part of the London network. Because it is touted as London Gatwick. Furthermore, there aren't any clear...
Thank you for the response. I appreciate it and fully agree.

Regarding your point (in bold), that's precisely my point. I was sure that Gatwick was very much a part of London. Which is why I decided to use my contactless card. It wasn't a matter...
But this was my point mate. When I was caught out by the inspectors, there were 4 others Who got penalised with me as well. Same offence. All, in a span of 10 minutes. So that's 4 penalties of 20 each. Ridiculous.
Which is why I know something isn't right. And why obviously I conservatively...
Agreed on the first point regarding rankage.
But here is the link from Regents Park to Gatwick. http://goo.gl/NjjyS0
Considering Gatwick airport (as an authority in itself) touts itself as a London Airport - A little disclaimer (at point of search) by the TFL and also any Rail website...
 Brilliant mate.
These penalties just contribute to the rip-off Britain tag. We are used to it I guess and mostly because people (arguing for GTR) in this case have accepted it.
Sorry all (for those arguing for GTR), as much as I appreciate most of your time to post comments, the fact...
Not at all. I am happy with most responses on the forum. Ofcourse there are some. But that's everywhere. :)
Glad you have all the time in the world to do your research. One would expect that when you are retired I suppose.
And no regarding Birmingham or Liverpool airports because they are...
Argued that I was wrongly issued a penalty fare. In my opinion, the GTR weren't and aren't clear about this.
This issue is different from one where the GTR have clearly issued the customer with a warning. For e.g. - Not travelling with a photocard or perhaps your rail pass. As the customer is...
Not if you've budgeted for a tuner for your Gibson. Have to wait another month :)
Seriously though, it was but it felt like paying for a parking ticket. 50% disc if you pay early and all that.
Thanks for your comment.
Sorry I don't expect an announcement (or mollycoddle as one put it) but want the TFL and the Rail (including staff) to be more clear about the use of the use of the Contactless. And most of London's busy workforce would expect the same too. Perhaps they don't have...
Hello all
Just called them and ended up paying £60.25 as an out of court settlement. In hindsight, I should've just paid the penalty and argued later.
Just felt/ Still feel this is unfair to all the others who get stung in the same way.
I'd like to take this opportunity, again, to thank you...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
