2nd night in a row as well! Monday was a person hit by a train (not a pleasent event for all involved), and tonight the wires coming down. I've been caught up in both - so the commute has been fun this week.

Apprently one of the 800s has brought down the wires near Hanwell. I suspect it was an 802 because the quite a few of the seats had plastic sheet covers.

Maidenhead isn't long enough for 12 cars. Usually the 7:33 is delayed by people queing to get on the last open door to walk through to the rear 4.
I would have thought that pans must be able to go up/down at 140 mph due to neutral sections. I'm sure I've read else where on here that neutral sections are preceeded by magnets that automatically drop and raise the pan. Couldn' they put the magnets in and keep the wires in case something...

On a slightly related note, the new footbridge at Newbury has been going up at a rate of knots. In the past two days, Network Rail have put in the steps and the deck across the line.
Was delayed this morning because of a broken down train - looked like a 2x5 car set sat down at Hayes and Harlington. Anyone know if that is the case and what the problem was?
GWR cancelling trains this morning due to damage to the overhead wires between Maidenhead and Paddington. Does anyone know if it's the new or old kit?
