Totally agree. I think the Sheffield system is much better with a centre car all-seater and all the prams, wheelchair, cycles etc in the two end cars. Certainly the seats the M5000's do have are very unpleasant for the longer routes (if you're 'lucky' enough to get one)!

Apologies for being a bit behind the times but I've only just caught up with this one! I was just curious because the article seems a little more thorough (certainly longer) than the usual local press efforts. Do we know Mr Partridge? He certainly gives this forum a mention.

And not just time either! The seating is completely unsuitable for that sort of distance. If TfGM are wanting to increase service distances they really should be looking at seating that doesn't induce DVT!!!
