What is average pass mark on the RAAT test? I done the test today, it consisted of 34 questions with 22 minutes to complete it, I only managed to get around 23 questions done so wondered how the scoring works? TIA

why didnt virgin just do this in 2002 instead of wasting money on horrible stinking cramped voyager and pendolinos, isnt this just the obvious choice to refurb a perfectly working fleet of mk3s? why fix something that isnt broke????

But trains are more efficent as they always run on flat surface and no rubber tyres which absorbe a lot of speed 10 carriages = 1 engine on train 10 buses = 10 engines therefore more weight, surely a loco hauled train is cheaper to run than a dmu?

soi take it the fuel tanks are massive :) does a loco use much more pulling a rake of coaches though?

I was wondering how much fuel a class 57 for example, uses every mile on a flat run, and how much more pulling a pendolino? Surely a class 153 can't use much more than a double decker bus...

a very uncomfortable ride due to wheel layout, apart from that nice looking train.

apart from the seats being a bit hard, the 175s are nice to travel on great air con, big windows etc

but that is like getting off a dirt track onto a road, you appreciate it just because the other was so uncomfortable, yet getting off a hst straight onto a pendo is like stepping out of a jaguar into a mini......

I don't understand why virgin didn't just refurb their mark 3's?? the pendolinos are: smelly cramped noisy tacky/cheap looking small windows air con always faulty less tables no pull down windows :) just a few to mention.... I can definitly see why they got the worst vote i...
