There should be a contact number for the ICO in the letter. Contact them first, and then contact FCC (details also in letter). That is if the content of the letter was the same as mine. I attached it as a PDF document earlier on in this thread. Let us know what they say. It would be good...

I spoke to ICO and they advised me to contact the FCC Prosecution Department. I have just been on the phone with the Manager of the department and he was aware of the issue already, they are currently investigating. He was very apologetic and I was convinced by his manner that he is taking this...

Some good points here. I agree that it seems a bit dodgy to have data stored on an online/external platform, but surely CRIMS (or IQM Software) is inline with the Data Protection Act? Where I work we're pretty big on data protection and we use an internal database. All the data reports we run...

Yes, I was sure the letter wasn't an official FCC communication. I think I can reasonably assume that my details were out there somehow. I don't see how else the sender would have known my address and about the incident.
