Within just two weeks from opening ( on 1/8/26) the brand new lift at Okehampton Int. failed and was on 15/8/26 found to be out of order at this new and unstaffed station. Very unhelpfully for people needing to use this lift, no mention was made on the GWR website that this lift was out of order.

I’m sure Jeremy Hosking‘s Crewe Depot and Eastern Rail services at Great Yarmouth could help ailing GWR.

This is a short sdg used occasionally for stabling ‘on track’ machines, eg a Tamper. Just wait til the dreaded ‘NR preferred’ buddleia bushes etc start growing through and in this walkway !
