I am planning a trip to the Stans in June with my son. Can anyone suggest any great rail journeys? We particularly enjoy sleeper trains. We are currently lloking at Dushanbe - Tashkent, Tashkent - Almaty, Almaty - Astana. But all suggestions welcome.

My son has asked if we can do the Ffestiniog Round Robin this Sunday. Is it actually possible to do this trip on a Sunday timetable? Are we at risk of Sunday cancellations? Either direction is fine and we would probably start from Birmingham or, if necessary, Shrewsbury. Cheers

For the purposes of buying an "Off-Peak Family Travelcard" valid only when at least 1 Adult (16+) and 1 Child (5-15 years) is travelling together. So she can buy the "adult" ticket?
