It's mostly a problem because cars and vans park in the bus lane, rather than other cars using it to travel. By removing the obstructions, particularly around Willowbrae Gardens Abercorn Road city bound, there should be a small decrease in journey time.

942 (and 949, and 503, 504, 506...) have had faded desto screens for ages. The problem is it's a little bit darker in the depot so during the first use check, it looks to be working properly, however once in sunlight it is unreadable. It's also not something Control will take a bus off the road...

Another feature I've just noticed on Railmiles is the ability to search for "winners" from your traction list. It will show their allocated workings on RTT. A very nifty addition which I wasn't expecting to find this morning.

Ah I was unaware the 13.4m version had been discontinued. 20 vehicles for Airlink would make sense then, with (purely guessing) 24 going to Country to replace their B9s, and 16 going to East Coast to replace their B9s and allowing 1051-1062 to move back to City. That would leave a deficit of one...

No problem at all, the B8 single decks can manage it and they're only 20cm shorter. There are no routes at East Coast where the length would be a problem. The only issue I could see would be North Berwick depot as space in the rear compound is limited.

Are we perhaps about to see two different lengths of XLB in this order? Full length 13.4m for Airlink as per now and shorter 12m for the country ops.

Too many accidents. The bigger singles can't make it round the turning circle at Glenkinchie on the 123 without reversing, which upper management don't like, and there have been a lot of accidents particularly around Kingston and Drem so the smaller buses are definitely needed.

191, 192 and 193 will shortly be returning to use at East coast buses. 193 is already sitting in Musselburgh depot this morning.

There's a YouTuber called 'Glovestrains' who has visited all the stations on this line. She took three days to do it as part of visiting every station in Yorkshire. Worth a watch and I've used her itineraries in the past when planning trips.

Other way around, it moved from Waverley Bridge to George Street during Christmas and then back to Waverley once the festivities had finished.
