Honestly, I do think there is a realistic chance that both units get scrapped. Initial observations did seem to show both units had telescoped, this is when essentially the crumple zones do their job, but it is typically part of the structure of the train. I suspect the 810 will be replaced...

I’d imagine the trap point is to protect against wrong direction movements, the up direction would be unfitted with trap points as there is a tpws grid and appropriate overlap to point of conflict, would be my understanding

One curiosity from me - are these are running with the gangway doors open between units when in multiple?

This, ironically, is the video that I was shown when being trained on electrostars we were told very strictly that there is not, and was never any ‘gear changing’ involved with our units and not to reference it in any of our tests (presumably due to the video confusing some others previously!)

Likely time constraints on depot, unlike other fleets where forward facing cameras are fitted 707s already have Petards CCTV so its a much simpler task to add a single camera into a unit, rather than replacing the entire CCTV system as on other units.
