    Was on the 11.55 from Stoke to Prestbury, very impressed with the acceleration and speed it maintained. Windows were open so I enjoyed the sound effects from passing trains. Had 228 on the way back and had time for a couple of pints of plum porter in the bod bar . Lovely drink.

    I stopped off at Barnetby whilst doing my rovering and did see the Pub. It was closed while I was there but I did have a look through a window but the only beer I could see was Doombar . Always give that one a wide berth. LOL

    That's the good thing. On disruptive days you can book alternative transport and then return to the trains when things are normal.

    Having just arrived off the sleeper. I went in that cafe outside Penzance station back in the early 80s and to this day it was one of the best Breakfasts I have ever enjoyed It was run by two ladies who made you feel very welcome and it was a lovely clean place.
