Looking at the above, it's to avoid points having to change. Also, if it's running slower, it missed its booked path, if you ran it right through, the service it forms after would leave late, and become more and more delayed over the course of the day.

I don't understand how staff are being disrespectful by working the days they're employed to. Perhaps TOC's should employ enough drivers to run the service that they're paid to do?

Looks like it's due to go in near the end of the Winchburgh works, after the school holidays start.

The newspapers are already calling it chaos so it's a losing battle ScotRail are facing up here regardless.

PIS systems in general are terrible IMO. Ridiculously hard to sort out faults with and the dot LED displays almost always look odd. Better to run a normal LCD screen that can show more info.
