yep lesson learned but will look at wider options next time. I look forward to waitng another 15 days for a reply from Northern rail; I'm sure they have a large customer services team... :lol: I'm sure my ticket was off peak return the one i bought. So would i get anything back less...

done a bit of travelling on the train in my student days to London and out back North..... but not getting on time was sometimes ok (manageable)..... never heard of the 10 minute rule or 1 hour rules but will take these points onboard and the split ticketing which i have mentioned...

I wasn't rude at all; i was polite. I'm glad you agree on the concerns with the website. I will be reviewing the way i book tickets in the future. (split ticketing). Obviously their are a few glitches to avoid. Can i still get a refund as my tickets that are unused. Thanks.

let the teddies fly..... back to the topic. As i have stated before i had a valid ticket... It was sold by Cross country. why sell a " certain type of ticket " ticket knowing you will definitely not be able to catch the train or at least flag it as a issue; why not the technology allows...

I'm glad someone from experience is talking rather than these moderators; I'm not sure about the impartiality. :oops: since when has any organization acted in the general interests of the consumer it always take an amount of lobbying but i doubt we will have the support of these moderators...

I had a valid itenary... booked through a major train operating company (Cross country). surely the website engine can be tweaked as to whether or not all the the tickets are for travel by the same person; i would have expected this was the default. The the train operators don't want us...

I will provide details of the tickets later today. The cost of the journey was £101.00... (Piccaddilly to Euston) The total cost of the journey was about £156.00. After this; needelss to say my future preference will be not be trains in the future. Thanks. --- old post above...
